This will be our final COVID-19 weekly update, and want to take time to thank our valued customers, first responders fighting this pandemic and our employees for working together to abide by all current guidelines. We appreciate the efforts of everyone to keep our community safe.

Madera Auto Center has continued to modify business activities to comply with all federal, state and local requirements to provide a safe environment to accomodate the needs of our employees, families, customers and guests. We continue to offer services that provide for contact free interactions, if that is what our customers and guests request or require. We are here to serve you as you see fit.

In their May 12th COVID-19 Industry Guidance, the California Department of Public Health requires all dealerships employees to be screened for symptoms prior to their shift. Our team has been screening employees for COVID-19 symptoms before their shift and logging it daily since the beginning of the pandemic. The safety of all employees, customers, and families has always been our priority.

The latest set of guidelines from Madera County do not mandate the use of masks by businesses. But as a precaution, we have ordered masks that are estimated to arrive next week that we will provide to our staff and customers if they wish to use them.

Saturday March 21, 2020 - Business Continuity Plan 

This is a follow-up to our prior correspondence of last Friday, March 13, 2020: Madera Auto Center, including Madera Toyota and Madera Chevrolet, is open for essential business services and vehicle sales alternatives.

The situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve by the hour, and we felt it was important to share with you the most recent actions we are taking to protect the well-being of our employees, customers, guests and outside vendors as we remain open for business.

On March 19, 2020, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-33-20 “Safer At Home,” ordering California residents to stay in their homes except for those activities deemed “essential.” As defined by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in their “Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 Response" auto repair facilities, including parts sales, are considered “essential” businesses, and are allowed to remain open. This does not include the sale of new and used vehicles at our location, but does allow alternatives as noted below.

Madera Auto Center has initiated a Business Continuity Plan, guided by the provisions of the Executive Order and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health officials.

“At-Home” Test Drive: If you are interested in a particular vehicle, you can request an “at-home” test drive. If you decide to purchase, we will bring the paperwork to your home. Vehicle pickup and delivery for any service customer within a twenty-five (25) mile radius. If you are unable to visit the dealership, or don’t feel comfortable being outside, we’ll make sure that we make it easy for you to have repairs or service work performed, including any required factory safety campaigns. Friday March 13, 2020 - A Message from Madera Toyota

At Madera Toyota, the health and safety of our employees, customers, and guests is our highest priority.

With the uncertainty of the outbreak of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus), we would like to assure you that we are closely monitoring the situation, and the state of the impact on our country and businesses.  We are familiar with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) everyday guidelines to prevent the spread of any respiratory illness including COVID-19, and are actively practicing the recommended precautions to maintain a safe environment.  We have met personally with each of our management staff and employees, and have reviewed the everyday guidelines noted above, and are actively monitoring compliance within the dealership premises.

Steps we are taking: 

  • Encouraging employees and customers to practice guidelines from the CDC, including 1) Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; 2) Avoiding close contact with people who are sick; 3) Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth; and 4) Cover your cough or sneeze with your arm (instead of hands) or a tissue, and then dispose of the tissue.
  • Disinfecting frequently touched areas such as door handles, tables and countertops several times throughout the day.
  • Mandating that employees stay home if they are sick.
  • Monitor the latest prevention instructions from local, state and Federal health authorities.
  • Promptly respond to and address any condition which may occur that is directly related to COVID-19.
  • Establish an “action and response plan” for any occurrence of COVID-19 within the dealership premises, including notification of all required health authorities for guidance.
